Within the Information-Visit Center of the Măcin Mountains National Park Administration, which is located in Greci commune in Tulcea county, nature and traditional crafts lovers, through a particularly interesting interpretation-information concept, can enjoy the presence of samples from the treasury of these values and can obtain free of charge valuable information on the tourist routes in the Măcin Mountains National Park, Măcin Mountains SCI, Măcin-Niculiţel SPA and SCI Podisul Nord Dobrogean, according to the program:
- During the tourist season, April 15 – October 10:
Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
Saturday – Sunday: 08:00 – 15:00 - Outside the tourist season, the center can be visited with a written request sent to the Park Administration at least 2 days before the date chosen for the visit, on working days and 5 days before the chosen date, on weekend days, within the following time schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
Saturday – Sunday: 08:00 – 15:00
Tourists enjoy unique landscapes and meet rare, endangered species on the 11 tourist routes, on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. When descending from the route, tourists can taste the delicacies of the local communities such as Dobrogean pie, sarailii, suberek, Dobrogean pastrami and feel the aroma of the famous Dobrogean wines.
The unique flora and fauna in the world, the ethnocultural treasure of the 14 ethnic groups at the foot of the Hercynian mountains, the fortresses and monasteries of Northern Dobrogea ensure that tourists can access routes on which they will discover with amazement, unsuspected treasures of this biodiversity sanctuary: the Măcin Mountains.
